Assistive Listening Devices
Assistive listening devices, also know as ALDs, help people with hearing difficulties, hear better in difficult environments.
They amplify the sounds that we want to hear whilst cancelling out the noise we don’t. As such these devices can be a live changing for the hard of hearing. They can also be used in a multitude of environments. Noisy places, watching television, educational settings and even your favourite pub or restaurant!
To make your hearing experience even better, ALD’s can also connect to other electronic devices. Which include smartphones and televisions.
There is evidence to show that these devices improve communication skills. They can also give you back some independence and improve your quality of life.
